November's One Monthly Goal

Back in the saddle again . . .

Finishing is not my strong suit.  As a result, my home overflows with half-done projects, quilts, and entrepreneurial ideas.  And I continually feel disappointed with myself.  Sigh.

As 2016 began, I started on several quilt-alongs, mostly BOMs, BOWs, and even one BODay!  Yeah, guess how that worked out.

Thank you reading through that whining. It was cathartic (for me anyway - lol).

This was a free BOW from Temecula Quilt Company

Isn't that gorgeous?!  Mine fell by the wayside after doing the central medallion.  I was just going to bind it for a wall hanging, but then decided, no, I would finish it out and start nothing new until I did!  So far I have stuck by that.

All my blocks are complete and 90 percent are sewn into the background setting.  Just a few days' more work and it will be finished.  Best of all, it was made completely from stash on hand.

When you quilt a lot slower than you accumulate fabric, it's good to use some up finally.  So my one quilting goal for November is to git-'er-done!  Send up a little prayer for me, please.

Linking today with Elm Street Quilts OMG One Monthly Goal in order to put a little pressure on myself.

Thank you for reading!

  1. I enjoyed perusing your blog, and like your take on traditional. Sally

  2. I think this quilt is really cute. You're so close to the finish, I hope you can stick with it. The feeling of accomplishment from a finish is such a wonderful high feeling! Blessings, Gretchen villacrestfarm@gmail.com

  3. I think I am seven months behind on my block of the day, so I feel your pain. I am okay with it being a two or three year project, I will just keep plugging along. I hope you keep going, it will be worth the slog.

  4. I love that quilt and thought about doing their QAL myself! Good luck with your goal and thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal!

  5. You go girl! You can do it! It's a challenge, but so worth it!
I am working on the HSTs for the last border this week.
On Friday I will post 2 versions of the quilt... love it!

  6. Always love their projects...enjoy getting this one done. I think You'll be glad you did:)
